A little about who we are.
Set within the stunning Lake District National Park, just two miles from the southern shores of Lake Windermere, Whitestone Caravan Park is nestled within ten acres of beautiful woodland. Surrounded by natural scenery and positioned beneath a fell, the park enjoys breathtaking views across the Southern Fells and nearby estuaries, offering a peaceful and scenic retreat.
We welcome you to visit and explore the park at your leisure. Should you choose to make Whitestone your home from home destination, we would be delighted to help you in finding the perfect caravan or park home. While many things change over time, Whitestone has remained a proud family business for many years, continuing to offer a friendly welcome to all visitors – past, present, and future.
Whitestone Caravan Park is peaceful and privately owned.
When fully occupied, the park is home to 85 holiday homes, thoughtfully arranged in a natural, informal layout with no rigid rows. Each home is privately owned, creating a welcoming community atmosphere. While subletting is not permitted, owners are welcome to share their holiday home with family and friends.
Every plot benefits from full services, including electricity, water, and drainage, along with a dedicated hard-standing parking space for your car. Plot sizes vary, but wherever possible we aim to accommodate holiday homes up to 38′ x 12′.
Woodland surroundings, wildlife & year-round colour.
The park is set within beautiful natural surroundings, with a variety of trees growing throughout the grounds. Fruit trees, mainly damson, stand alongside mature oak, cherry, sweet chestnut, and ash, while natural woodland borders the park on all sides.
Behind the park lies a steep, rugged fell with paths to explore – perfect for dog walkers and anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Wildlife is abundant, with regular sightings of squirrels, foxes, Roe deer, and Red deer. If you’re an early riser, you may even be lucky enough to spot a badger.
Colour can be enjoyed almost all year round, beginning with snowdrops, daffodils, bluebells, and spring blossom, followed by azaleas, buddleja, and montbretia, before the season closes with the rich tones of autumn foliage.
